AAR has been awarded a $255m Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support to provide the United States Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps with AM2 pallet and mat assemblies for expeditionary airfields.

After a lengthy procurement process, DLA chose AAR Mobility Systems as one of the sources for these mission-critical items.

This contract is structured with a two-year base and three one-year option periods and offers DLA a fixed price for an indefinite quantity over the life of the contract. It is funded through US Government fiscal year 2022 defence working capital funds.

"Innovative thinking led us to believe this lightweight, rugged aluminium structure used for expeditionary airfields would be a good addition to our product portfolio," said Lee Krantz, Senior Vice President, Mobility Systems.

"While other AAR businesses provide commercial and government aircraft with services and sustainment, this product now allows AAR to say we’re a total solutions provider that has aircraft covered from the ground up."
