Artillery Systems
CSG, through its subsidiary Excalibur Army, offers a portfolio of advanced artillery systems designed to meet the requirements of modern armed forces. These include the self-propelled gun-howitzers DITA and MORANA, as well as the multiple rocket launcher systems VAMPIRE and STRIGA.
Built on the legendary Tatra chassis renowned for its exceptional mobility, durability, and performance in demanding terrain, these artillery systems combine advanced firepower with proven battlefield reliability. Together, they represent CSG’s commitment to delivering modern, highly mobile, and effective fire support capabilities for contemporary military operations.
MORANA – Advanced 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer on a TATRA 8×8 Chassis
MORANA self-propelled howitzer combines a specially designed TATRA 8×8 chassis with an independent turret-based artillery system, delivering both high mobility and enhanced crew protection. This unique concept combines the benefits of lighter Truck Mounted Gun (TMG) solutions with the capabilities of heavy self-propelled artillery systems equipped with combat turrets.
The system carries 45 rounds of onboard ammunition, ensuring sustained fire support during operations. Its fully automated loading mechanism enables a rate of fire of up to six rounds within the first minute after reaching a firing position. MORANA also features the MRSI (Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact) capability, allowing several projectiles to strike the target simultaneously.
All system functions are controlled from the protected modular EA Puma cabin, providing a safe operating environment for the crew. The cabin is certified to STANAG 4569 Level 2 standards for both ballistic and mine protection.
DITA – Automated 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer on a TATRA 8×8 Chassis
Designed for rapid deployment and high combat effectiveness, DITA combines a high rate of fire with an advanced fire control system that enables quick transition into and out of firing positions.
Its exceptional accuracy, mobility, and ability to operate in demanding terrain make DITA a highly effective artillery solution across a wide range of battlefield conditions.
The independent weapon module can also be installed on alternative platforms, including tracked vehicles, providing greater flexibility and expanding the range of potential applications.
DITA is equipped with a 155mm gun featuring a 45-calibre barrel, capable of engaging targets at distances of up to 39km. This combination of firepower and range allows the system to deliver precise and effective long-range support.
VAMPIRE – Multiple Launch Rocket System
RM-70 VAMPIRE is a modern forty-tube multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) with automatic reloading capability, developed as a significant upgrade of the original Czechoslovak RM-70 GRAD platform.
RM-70 VAMPIRE is armed with 122mm JROF rockets with a maximum effective range of up to 40km. The system carries 40 rockets onboard and an additional 40 reload rounds, ensuring sustained fire capability in prolonged operations.
The integrated automatic loading system enables a very high rate of fire, allowing up to 80 rockets to be launched within two minutes under optimal conditions.
STRIGA – Multiple Launch Rocket System
BM-21 MT STRIGA is a modern forty-tube self-propelled multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) designed to provide effective fire support for ground forces. Built on the latest generation TATRA 4×4 military platform, the system combines proven rocket artillery capabilities with enhanced mobility and operational efficiency.
The launcher is capable of firing individual rockets or full salvos and can be operated directly from the protected cabin or remotely using a portable control unit from a nearby sheltered position.
STRIGA is equipped with 122mm JROF rockets with a maximum firing range of up to 40km. The launcher carries 40 rockets ready for immediate use, providing substantial firepower for a wide range of combat missions.
