The Dewey Electronics Corporation (OTCBB: DEWY), a small business concern, located in Oakland, NJ, announced today that they will be introducing their latest entry into the vehicle auxiliary power unit product line at the Military Vehicle Conference and Expo this month.

The Military Vehicle Conference and Expo at the Cobo Conventions Center in Detroit, MI, is to be held on August 11th and 12th. Dewey will be located in Booth 326 and will be displaying the latest in compact auxiliary power units (APUs) and portable diesel power.

The 4kW enclosed vehicle power supply (EVPS) will be introduced at this event. This is the first public showing of the EVPS since its initial selection by the USMC as one of the candidates for their multi-application auxiliary power units in the 3-5kW power range. The EVPS is an air cooled APU that provides 28VDC per Mil-Std-1275 and is currently being evaluated by the USMC for applications of military vehicles per Mil-Std-1332B.

Dewey designs and manufactures compact diesel powered open frame APUs and custom designed enclosed APUs that provide vehicle mission power. This power is used to support vehicle hotel loads, charge vehicle and/or accessory batteries and provide export power for off-vehicle equipment. Diesel power generation produces voltages in the following standard ranges; 28VDC, 120 VAC and 240VAC with total power output from 3.0kW to 15kW.
