The Dewey Electronics Corporation, a small business concern located in Oakland, NJ, announced today the receipt of an additional delivery order for its 2kW Military Tactical Generators (MTG) for Program Manager – Mobile Electric Power (PM-MEP) from the US Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM), Ft. Monmouth, NJ.

The order, totaling approximately $2.8 million, is for both AC and DC versions of the 2kW MTG. These generators are used throughout the branches of the Department of Defense with over 11,000 fielded units delivered by Dewey since 1996.

Under the terms of the agreement, delivery of the generators is expected to begin in August 2009 and continue through January 2010. All work for the order will be performed at the Company’s Oakland, NJ facility.

This order for the 2kW MTG is a follow-on order under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract (DAAB07-01-D-C014) awarded to Dewey Electronics Corporation in 2001 by the US Army CECOM.

John Dewey, President and CEO of Dewey Electronics, stated, “This order represents the continued demand for the Company’s existing product line of our man-portable 2kW MTG. We expect this latest delivery order will produce a backlog of work for our 2kW generator team through January of 2010. Everyone here at Dewey is proud of this continued opportunity to supply our armed forces with a compact portable diesel power source that, we believe, supports their needs for simple and reliable power.”
