The Codan RIOS Radio Interoperability System is the solution for cross-banding, traditionally non-compatible multi-vendor radio such as high frequency (HF), very high-frequency (VHF) and ultra high-frequency (UHF) legacy and new technologies, cellular and satellite networks, IP addressable assets either locally, from remote locations or multi-site locations.
The TAC2 I/O 8 port module and MIL-STD-810F gateway controller provides the operator with the ability to quickly interconnect disparate devices by means of the graphical user interface, audio recording and playback, as well as remote client and RIOS Lite app control via 3G, 4G, LTE or wireless location on any carrier. The RIOS Lite app also provides GPS tracking, video and image push to send capabilities.
Any device interoperability
The Codan RIOS provides interoperability between any communications devices, legacy and new, plus all signalling platforms, including HF, VHF, UHF, 700/800 MHz, cellular and satellite phones, enabling a fully integrated communications network from anywhere in the world. The Codan RIOS is the solution for enabling users with different vendor devices to seamlessly communicate across any platform.
Portable or rack mount headquarters system
For portable interoperability of voice communications, the rear-interfacing TAC2 I/O Module in the Codan RIOS provides eight high-density interface ports, allowing the operator to quickly interconnect disparate devices by means of the intuitive Graphical User Interface. Network options include LAN with Wi-Fi and/or customer-provided USB data connection. The Codan RIOS can also be rack mounted for a fixed-site headquarters system.
Quick interface access
The easy-access back panel on the case allows for quick setup of radio control interfaces and other devices plus MIL-STD power and USB interior and exterior connectors for computer charging and interface. The laptop interface of the Codan RIOS is designed for challenging environments, with a rugged exterior and daylight readable Windows gateway controller.
Robust tactical design
Enclosed in a rugged FAA-compliant Pelican iM2500 roller case, the Codan RIOS is designed to be easily transportable while withstanding tough environmental conditions. The case is water resistant with a pressure-release valve, telescoping handle and wheels for quick deployment. In any environment, the Codan RIOS will endure to provide an active communications network.
