Dual Refrigerator

Intermodal Europe is the world’s leading event for the container transport and logistics industry. The event, held at the RAI in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, will bring together industry professionals from around the world to discover new market opportunities, network with peers, and see product launches from leading companies in the industry.

Klinge Corporation will be launching their new and improved Dual Refrigerated Container with Integral Generator Set at this year’s event, which will be held from 27-29 November 2012. Seeking to build upon the safety features of their Dual Refrigerated Containers, Klinge Corporation is implementing numerous modifications to the design.

Klinge Corporation’s Dual Refrigeration System, Model NMR-262, has two full capacity reefer units with automatic switchover. The new and improved system will feature two independent motor housings (rather than the current dual-wound motor) as well as additional security measures for locking out unauthorized users and preventing access to the control box without the necessary tools.

In addition, new, higher-efficiency evaporator and condenser coils will be utilized as well as an option for remote monitoring of the equipment via satellite, GSM, or a direct cable link to the control box.

"Over the years, our customers and potential customers have asked for certain features in the system. We have always done our best to accommodate these changes, but the new unit includes even more of these options," said Sales Manager, Jason Flynn.
The Dual Refrigeration System will also feature new ATEX, Zone 1-rated evaporator motors for increased safety in the cargo area and also have an option for increased heating capacity.

"Our customers have been using the NMR-262 system for close to three decades because of its reliability and its compliance to international transport regulations for the transport of certain dangerous goods. Modifications to the design will further strengthen the overall capabilities of the Dual Refrigerated Container and we are very excited to introduce the improved unit at Intermodal Europe this November," said company President Henrik Klinge.

The Dual Refrigerated Container will be showcased at spot ten in the Container Park. The NRM-262 Dual Refrigeration System will be on display with its integral generator set that powers the refrigeration system during transport on a truck or whenever else shore power is not available.
