We have supplied portable kitchen facilities to a wide number of locations around the world, for many military and peacekeeping forces, as well as charities and aid organisations for emergency disaster relief operations.
We supply a range of kitchen facilities including portable field kitchen units and tented kitchen solutions that can be quickly mobilised and rapidly deployed and we are often able to deliver within a few days of receiving an order if required.
Military camp kitchens
PKL has supplied army camp and field kitchen facilities to many military and peacekeeping forces around the world including to locations such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Kosovo. We supply a wide range of temporary kitchen facilities including both tented and modular solutions, which can be deployed at short notice.
Our modular kitchen solutions can be supplied as standalone kitchen units or can be linked together to form much larger camp facilities including dining areas, welfare facilities, laundry units and ablution blocks.
In remote areas with little or no support infrastructure, we can supply additional facilities such as generators and water and waste tanks to enable the deployment and operation of our mobile kitchens in even the most inhospitable of environments.
Our kitchens can be supplied as new, or where urgent delivery is required, we can supply ex-rental units from our existing fleet.
Tented military kitchen
PKL Group’s mobile and central island canopies have been designed specifically for use within tented accommodation. These canopy systems are supplied complete with extraction and fire suppression, which can be preloaded with catering equipment before delivery. This ensures that once on site, a kitchen can be quickly installed, commissioned and handed over and is ideal where the rapid deployment of a kitchen facility is a high priority.
Worldwide supply of army kitchen facilities
Our range of portable kitchen buildings includes ISO rated container kitchen facilities, which are DROPS compatible and are air transportable by fixed wing aircraft or helicopter.
Outside of our rapid response division, PKL is vastly experienced in delivering temporary kitchen solutions around the world. This has included the complete athletes village temporary dining complexes at the last three Olympic Games in Beijing, Athens and Sydney, the Winter Olympics in Vancouver and the Asian Games in Doha. In addition, we have supplied kitchen facilities to clients in Africa, the Middle East and throughout Europe.
Flexible portable kitchens
PKL Group’s portable kitchen solutions are entirely relocatable and easily transportable. This ensures that they can be easily moved between different camp locations, or can be transported around as troops are redeployed. Our temporary kitchens can also be used to provide emergency catering solutions in disaster relief areas by NGO’s, charities and aid organisations as part of temporary shelters or aid operations.
Full project management and support
PKL provide a full turnkey solution service and our experienced staff will help you with every step of your project to ensure the rapid deployment of your kitchen. A PKL project team can also be employed to commission and hand over the kitchen at its final location if required. Additional support, such as service and maintenance can be provided once the kitchen has been installed if requested.

In addition to rapid response hires, we supply temporary kitchens to many public and private sector clients throughout the UK each year. This includes to UK military bases that are undergoing refurbishment activities or have been faced with a sudden shutdown of their catering operation. PKL have a portfolio of over 900 portable kitchen units and over 10,000 items of catering equipment readily available for hire.
We also supply larger scale permanent modular kitchen buildings, designed and constructed off site to end user specifications.
