In addition to the tractor-trailer systems, the order includes associated spare parts, support services and training.

This order follows Morocco’s first order for HET A1 tractors, placed in September 2024. Oshkosh Defense said that initial batch has now been delivered and entered service with the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces.

The HET A1 is a heavy tractor designed for equipment transport and recovery tasks. It is powered by a 700-horsepower Caterpillar C18 engine and can be used for line-haul, local-haul and maintenance evacuation missions, according to Oshkosh.

The company said the vehicle can transport heavy platforms including the 70-ton M1 Abrams main battle tank, recovery vehicles and self-propelled artillery.

However, the announcement did not state which specific equipment will be moved by the Moroccan fleet.

The accompanying MN573 trailer was developed and manufactured by Dutch specialist Broshuis.

Oshkosh said the trailer is designed for heavy transport requirements among international users. Combined with the HET A1 tractor, it is intended to support the deployment, sustainment and recovery of armoured equipment.

Oshkosh Defense chief programmes officer Pat Williams said: “Working alongside Optimum Vehicle Logistics, our exclusive distributor in the Kingdom of Morocco, Oshkosh Defense is advancing Morocco’s modernisation objectives through the delivery of heavy tactical wheeled vehicles.

“This additional order reflects the growing demand for our mission-ready, performance-proven mobility solutions designed to meet evolving requirements quickly and effectively.”

Oshkosh did not disclose the value or delivery timetable of the new order.
