Saab has received a two-year extension support contract from the UK Ministry of Defence to maintain training systems used by the British Army.

Under the Skr150m ($22.6m) order, the company will support the training systems as well as implement the OSAG 2.0 laser code to enable the army to conduct realistic combined arms training in the UK, Canada and Germany.

The OSAG 2.0 is a new international standard for optical laser codes, which will allow interoperability in training with another nation’s laser based Tactical Engagement Simulator Systems, especially during joint exercises.
