MD Helicopters has secured a $1.38bn contract from the US Army Contracting Command to procure up to 150 MD 530F aircraft through August 2022.

The contractor will also provide required production support services such as pilot training, programme management, delivery support, and maintenance, as part of the deal.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has won a contract worth $952.28m from the Indian Ministry of Defence for advanced light helicopters (ALH).

HAL will deliver up to 40 ALH units to the Indian Army and one unit to the Indian Navy over a five-year period.

The US Army has awarded two contracts to General Dynamics Land Systems for the modernisation of Abrams main battle tanks.
