The Supacat protected vehicle 400 Series (SPV400) has successfully completed a significant under-vehicle mine blast simulation.
The blast testing used a huge vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) simulation during which the vehicle successfully proved its crew and system survivability capabilities.
During the blasting test, SPV blocked the major blast away from the vehicle and also offered resistance over the effects of the VBIED.
SPV features an integrated protection system comprising a v-shaped hull for mine blast protection and a composite crew pod to provide both blast and ballistic protection.
Several countries are using Supacat’s military vehicles including the US Army, which is operating the Supacat’s latest 6×6 wheeled Coyote tactical support vehicles and the British Army, which is using the Supacat Jackal 4×4 patrol vehicle.
