In addition, Oshkosh will provide factory-trained technical expertise for in-field support and enhanced military mobility.

The M1070 HET is specifically designed for quick transportation of M1A1 main battle tanks, armoured vehicles and self-propelled guns and can accommodate a crew of six.

The trailers will be manufactured at the Ministry of Military Production’s Egyptian tank plant near Cairo, where the Oshkosh medium tactical truck is also co-produced.

The work, to be carried out at the company’s facilities in Wisconsin, Alabama, and Egypt, is expected to be complete by 30 August 2011.
