CAE and Thales will supply the Australian military with two MRH-90 helicopter flight simulators under an A$180m contract, the Australian Defence Force (ADF) says.

The Australian army and Royal Australian Navy are to acquire 46 MRH-90 multi-role helicopters, with the first two set for delivery this week.

The MRH-90 is the world’s first ‘fly by wire’ helicopter and will provide the Australian Defence Force with the next generation airmobile and fleet support helicopter, the ADF says.

The MRH-90 full-flight and mission simulators will be delivered in 2012.
