BAE Systems and General Dynamics Land Systems have signed an agreement which will see them support the US Army’s Heavy Brigade Combat Team (HBCT) modernisation plan.
The plan seeks to modernise, upgrade and achieve commonality on BAE System’s Bradley vehicles and General Dynamics’ M1 Abrams tanks.
The agreement defines how both companies will cooperate with the army’s HBCT project manager to jointly translate war fighter requirements into capabilities through collaboration in design and development.
Included in the agreement is a basic process for the common procurement of material to support system evolution on both company’s combat vehicles.
