Evergreen Fire & Security has been awarded a $697m product manager – force protection systems (PM-FPS) contract to provide force protection and early warning capabilities at all US Army installations worldwide.
The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract, awarded by the US Army RDECOM Natick contracting division, has a three-year base performance period and includes a $300m option.
Under the contract, Evergreen will provide US Army security personnel with integrated security systems, which will reduce the time required to detect, assess and mitigate anticipated threats.
The security systems will also provide electronic intrusion detection, alarm assessment, access control, video surveillance, command, control, communications and display capabilities.
In addition to Evergreen, the PM-FPS contract has been awarded to seven other companies.
The PM-FPS provides affordable integrated physical security and force protection capabilities to US tactical forces, installations and homeland defence.
