Oshkosh Corporation has been awarded a firm-fixed-price contract by the US Army Contracting Command to support the mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) all terrain vehicles (M-ATV) in Afghanistan.
The $226.2 award will provide for the purchase of 5,131 underbody improvement kits for the M-ATV in support of the ongoing Operation Enduring Freedom war on terror in Afghanistan.
The M-ATV is specifically designed to deliver the survivability and off-road mobility required for harsh environments in Afghanistan.
Work will be performed at the company’s facility in Wisconsin, US, with an estimated completion date of 30 June 2012.
