Arotech Corporation’s armour division has received orders for a new variant of the David light armoured vehicle and armour for various aircraft.

The $9m order includes an option for another $6m in vehicles in addition to previously reported orders, valued at $106.5m.

The David vehicle is based on a Land Rover heavy-duty Defender platform and was selected by the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) as its standard armoured reconnaissance and patrol vehicle.

The vehicle is resistant to numerous terror attacks, assault weapons and various explosive devices.
