General Dynamics (GD) Information Technology has won the five-year US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) operations, planning, training and resource support services (OPTARSS) II contract.
The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, multiple-award contract has a total potential value of $2.5bn if all options are exercised.
Under the contract, GD will provide planning, training, operations, mobilisation and deployment, airfield operations, transformation, modelling and simulation, flight operations and force protection services.
The contract will also provide continued support to the US Army with operations-focused support services for successful mission fulfilment.
US Army FORSCOM trains, mobilises, deploys, sustains, transforms and reconstitutes conventional forces for sustained flow of land power to combatant commanders worldwide.
