Boeing has delivered the Combat Survivor Evader Locator (CSEL) combat search and rescue communications system to the US joint services.

The delivery marks the 50,000th system produced by Boeing, which will enable US forces to authenticate and rescue downed pilots or combat forces.

The CSEL is a network-enabled, multifunction radio system that allows rescue teams to locate isolated personnel by using multi-satellite technology, secure communications and GPS.

The system provides real-time communication capabilities and enhanced coordination with pilots and combat forces.

The radios are also used by other US Government service branches.
