Netherlands-based company Airbus IT hiring rose 14.2% in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 27.86% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.

IT jobs claimed an 11.54% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2022, and recorded a 0.82% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Airbus IT hiring in September 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Airbus, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 34.71% in September 2022, and a 103.45% rise over August 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 29.41% in September 2022, and registered growth of 108.33%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 18.24% in September 2022, an 181.82% rise from August 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at Airbus

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global aerospace, defence & security IT hiring activity in September 2022 with a 94.12% share, which marked a 135.29% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 3.53%, registering a 25% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 1.76% share and a flat growth over August 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 0.59% and a month-on-month flat growth.

France commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 41.76% share in September 2022, a 273.68% growth over August 2022. The UK featured next with a 27.06% share, up 155.56% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 13.53% share, a decline of 8% compared with August 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Airbus IT hiring activity in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.59%, up by 144.9% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with an 18.24% share, a growth of 47.62% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10% share, up 112.5% over August 2022.
