Safety boots and safety footwear tested to rigorous standards
From the ground up, our tactical boots are engineered for safety. The Chase series of boots feature winter siping, which is a serrated pattern that is micro-cut into the outsole’s traction lugs, providing the best in slip resistance in wet conditions. All our boots are slip-resistant and oil-resistant, tested to and exceeding the ASTM F489-96 standard.
Our main offering of protective footwear features composite toe caps that are certified to the ASTM F2413-11 standard. We choose composite since it is more protective than steel, will not bend or shear the toe as steel has been known to do, and is more comfortable. The comfort is due in part to the fact that composite materials do not transfer the environment’s heat and cold to the foot, as steel does. Our flagship safety and work boots feature electrical hazard protection – tested to the ASTM F2412-11 and ASTM F2413-11 standard for shock resistance.
CSA-approved safety boots
For our Canadian customers, we have a range of CSA-approved boots that feature composite safety toes that exceed the Canadian Standards Association CAN/CSA Z195-02 standards to Grade 1 (will withstand impacts up to 125J) with sole protection that will withstand impacts up to 1,200 Newtons. These boots feature LENZI® non-metallic L-Protection® anti-penetration boards, which keep operators’ feet safe from puncture dangers through a unique combination of pre-treated ceramic and high tenacity fibres. Electric shock resistance on these CSA safety boots is certified to CSA orange "Omega" rating for electro-hazard insulating properties.
Side-zip tactical boots
Our Side-Zipper or ‘SZ’ boot designs provide quick off-and-on access for ease of use in a secure way. We only use the industry-leading and globally-trusted YKK® zipper brand. We have designed a custom zipper housing to prevent zipper teeth from misaligning and breaking. This allows for smooth operation and greatly reduces snags and failures. Unlike most tactical boot manufacturers, our side-zip boots have a zipper end-stop to provide long-term durability and reliability.
For greater ease of use around metal detectors and security sensors, we use the latest in durable composite materials for our zippers. Our Chase, Metro, and Safety lines of boots also utilise airport-friendly nylon shanks for lightweight support and fatigue control.
Instantly comfortable boots from unique manufacturing processes
We are the only global boot manufacturer that provides for instant, out-of-the-box comfort, custom-moulded thermoplastic heel counters. Each boot is placed on a special machine during the manufacturing process to curve the heel zone around the shape of the human foot. Most other boots require a certain amount of "break-in time" for the foot to mould the standard paper heel counter around itself, through heat from friction and perspiration. We nearly eliminate heel blisters and aid lateral support due to our pre-moulded thermoplastic design.
We use ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA) midsoles to give the wearer comfort and support during even the most rigorous days-long shifts on duty, whether hiking, standing, or running. Other boots may use rubber cupsoles, which transfer the impact from foot strikes directly into the foot. Our designs reduce fatigue and provide cradled support.
With custom-moulded removable insoles, our customers can feel an immediate comfort improvement over their standard general issue boots. From the PORON® impact-absorbing heel pad in our Chase Series line to our expanding line of boots with OrthoLite® innersoles, our boots are made to feel comfortable as soon as they put the boots on.
Polishable toe boots with full-grain leather and 1,000 denier materials
Choose the quality workmanship of Original S.W.A.T. With double and even triple-stitched three-ply bonded nylon thread, rest assured that every detail has been designed and field tested to meet rigorous spec ops demands. Our tan boots have been treated with Scotchgard to ensure colour-fastness and stain mitigations. Non-safety toe models add stitched toes at the outsole, and all boots have stitched heels for durability.
Full grain leather uppers provide time-proven protection and allow for a polishable toe. Boots produced from 1,000 denier nylon provides incredible durability, tear-resistance, and breathability without the weight or bulk of other materials. Gusseted tongues throughout the breadth of the boot line keep irritating dirt and debris outside of the operator’s feet.
