Elbit Systems Ltd has secured a $150m (NIS546m)contract to supply its PULS (Precise and Universal Launching Systems) rocket launchers and a suite of precision-guided long-range rockets to an international defence customer.

Over three years, Elbit Systems will fulfil this contract, cementing its position as a provider of advanced artillery solutions.

According to GlobalData’s “The Global Artillery Systems Market 2023-2033” report, Elbit Systems Ltd will potentially capture a 25.0% share of the middle eastern artillery systems market with forecast revenue of $2.5bn over 2023–33

PULS, designed by Elbit Systems, offers a cost-effective solution for armed forces seeking to bolster their operational effectiveness. This system enables the launch of unguided rockets, precision-guided munitions, and missiles with a range of up to 300km.

Additionally, its design supports future growth capabilities, including launching loitering munitions, such as the cannister-launched configuration of Elbit Systems’ SkyStriker loitering munition.

One of the key advantages of the PULS launcher is its complete adaptability to existing wheeled and tracked platforms, resulting in a reduction in maintenance and training costs. This year, The Netherlands also replenished its air defence systems by procuring PULS rocket systems from Israeli-based Elbit Systems in a $305m (€271.5m) deal, following the donation of various artillery systems to Ukraine.
