The new helicopter, expected to lift up to 20t of cargo, is based on Russia’s biggest and most powerful civilian / military helicopter Mi-26T Halo.

Russian officials also confirmed that France was interested in Russian-made Krasnopol-M cannon-launched guided projectiles (CLGP) modified according to Nato standards.

The fin-stabilised Krasnopol-M is a semi-automatic laser-guided explosive projectile for hard point targets such as tanks, SP howitzers or other high-value targets moving at speeds up to 36km/h.
