For several years now, the DOLL panther semi-trailers have gained a firm foothold in the market. Almost right on time for the Panther’s fourth birthday, the heavy haulage giants Mammoet and Felbermayr placed an order with DOLL for one ten-axle panther semi lowloader each, which will be delivered by mid-2014.

Both heavy load haulers focused on the independent wheel suspension, which is still one main criterion for the Panther’s success. Another important fact was the lowest loading height of only 850mm, which can be adjusted from -30 resp. +220mm to any road conditions without generating an increase in tyre wear. In addition to this, the heavy haulage giant Felbermayr attached great importance on positioning the whole payload on only 3m in the trailer’s centre of gravity.

Not only was the loading height and wheel suspension important factors in choosing the Panther, but the extremely high payloads of up to 110t, the axle combination of 3 + 7 with removable dolly, two friction steered axles which makes modification of the steering axle redundant, as well as the telescoping of more than 9,000mm are additional convincing arguments that characterise the ten-axle semi low-loaders. In this context, the DOLL Panther plus package with a five-year guarantee on all Panther components were the final benefits that made Mammoet and Felbermayr decide on the high quality trailers.
