On 2 September 2014, the acquisition of DOLL by the renowned German investment company CMP Capital Management Partners was confirmed.

"It is a great accomplishment to have sold DOLL ahead of the upcoming leading trade fair IAA. We have used the period of the insolvency proceedings to reposition DOLL for a positive future. We took great care and ample time to find the best-suited investor for the company which was originally founded in 1878," said Martin Mucha, the insolvency administrator of the company GRUB BRUGGER & Partner in Stuttgart.

CMP is a turnaround investor specialising in attractive businesses in financially distressed situations. Early on in the sales process CMP identified the great potential of the international special trailer manufacturer DOLL. "We will continue the existing product range in the field of timber transport, heavy haulage and ground support equipment and maintain both production plants in Oppenau and Mildenau. In each product segment DOLL has a great technological Know-How. With the help of the highly qualified and loyal workforce as well as the strong brand name of DOLL, we will participate in the international growth of the market," said Dr Ludger Vonnahme, managing director of CMP.

In addition to the purely equity-funded acquisition, CMP has equipped the company with substantial equity. With a strong balance sheet, strong liquidity and under new management, DOLL is very optimistic about the future.

The company would like to thank all of its employees, customers, suppliers and financial partners for the tremendous support, loyalty and backing that they have shown during the last months.

"I am very pleased with the acquisition by CMP which allows the company to realign with this year’s motto of the leading trade fair IAA "Driving the future," explains Brunhilde Rauscher-Doll, the great-granddaughter of the founder.
