MKS, a PTC Company, today announced it was selected for inclusion in the 2011 ‘Cool Vendors for Product Design and Lifecycle Management’ report published on April 14, 2011, by Marc Halpern of Gartner, a premier worldwide information technology research and advisory company. The company earned this distinction based on innovative, intriguing and impactful technology.
In May, MKS and its Integrity™ product line – which coordinates and manages all activities and artifacts associated with developing software-intensive products, including requirements, models, code and test, ensuring comprehensive lifecycle traceability – were acquired by PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), the Product Development Company®.
In one of the study’s key findings, Gartner states: “Manufacturers aren’t paying enough attention to system engineering, product requirements management and quality monitoring as software increasingly becomes part of manufactured products.”
