Ansell has announced that a four-year framework agreement has been made between itself and the UK Crown Commercial Service (CCS) for the purchase of TRELLCHEM® VPS CV-ET gastight suit.
The framework agreement will be available to the UK emergency services and other public sector organisations.
Ansell senior vice-president business development and transformational initiatives François le Jeune said: "The CCS framework agreement is a break-through for Ansell and gastight re-usable suits in the UK market"

Ansell competed in an open tender process for the CCS Framework in 2014. The tender process included detailed product trials, evidence of test methods and various certification requirements, along with the official tender bidding.
One of the key requirements for competing suits was Man-In-Simulant Test (MIST), where sulphur mustard (high-end warfare agent) was used to test and evaluate the penetration and permeation resistance for the complete ensemble.
Trellchem VPS CV-ET is a gastight chemical protective suit with excellent chemical resistance and durability, intended for use by both first responder hazmat teams as well as high-end industrial users. It is certified to the toughest standard in Europe and with an extensive reference list, it is one of the most popular suits in the Trellchem gastight suit range.
