Winnenden – At IDEX (International Defence Exhibition), the largest exhibition in the Arabic region, held in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, Kärcher Futuretech presented a large variety of products from its ‘systems for peacekeepers’ range to its customers and the public.

Trailer-mounted water purification and catering systems, as well as the sanitary trailer (field camp systems), and Decotrailer 2000 (NBC protection systems), were at the centre of the exhibition’s activities. On large-size displays, Kärcher Futuretech presented new products such as its system for ‘water bottling’ in the field, and the ‘TEP of the world,’ a compact, mobile full decontamination system with a contract value of €86.6 million. The Safeguard™ 3002-A1, which is equipped with a high-performance activated carbon fabric, and the MPDS (Multi-Purpose Decontamination System), completed Kärcher Futuretech’s appearance in Abu Dhabi.

There are good reasons for high-ranking visitors to pay a flying visit to the highly frequented Kärcher stand in the outside exhibition area. The managing directors of Kärcher Futuretech, Helmut Stelzmüller and Eberhard Kornas, welcomed a large number of national and international guests on the legendary ‘red sofa,’ a group of Arabic-style seats at the heart of the outside exhibition area. State secretary Christian Schmidt, army chief of staff Lieutenant General Hans-Otto Budde, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahhyan and high-ranking personalities from the delegations representing the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait and Yemen made themselves comfortable on the Arabic Kärcher sofa and took the opportunity to personally assure themselves of the excellent quality of the Kärcher products.

"The IDEX is an excellent opportunity to expand business in the Arabic region," summarises Anis Skhiri, the dynamic Kärcher Futuretech sales manager who specialises in this area. "Especially at this exhibition, many friendly meetings form the basis for successful cooperations."
