The US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) Technical and Analytical Support Services (TASS) has awarded a contract to Belcan.

With a total estimated contract amount of $850m, the prime indefinite delivery/indefinite quality (IDIQ) multiple-award contract will be awarded for a period of five years.

Under the multi-year contract, Belcan will be one of seven companies who would compete for task orders to deliver technical, financial, administrative, business process and meetings/conferences support services to the US agency.

Belcan Government Services Technical Advisory Services vice-president Denise Kellogg said: “We are honoured to continue our work with DARPA.

“Our team brings a wide range of technical expertise in science, technology, engineering, integration and acquisition to support DARPA’s mission to make pivotal investments in breakthrough technologies for national security.”

With the current award, the company will be committed to providing DARPA with technical, financial, programmatic and administrative support.

This would help carry out risk and impact assessments of new technologies, develop system concepts, evaluate benefits to military users and ancillary commercial sector impacts, and support programme definition, financial analyses and strategies for transition to DARPA’s stakeholder communities.

The current contract is the tenth award received by the company from DARPA in the last five years.
