Hispanic-owned IT integrator MicroTech has won the $192m US Army Rapid Acquisition for Materials for Prototyping (RAMP) contract.

RAMP develops, prototypes, evaluates and provides worldwide technical and field support of advanced research and development (R&D) and specialised sensors for Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) and other agencies.

With a period of performance of three years, the multiple-award contract is a highly accessible, one-stop-shop contract vehicle that supports the US Army’s rapid prototyping requirements.

Through the RAMP contract, the company as the prime contractor will be committed to support the army’s NVESD at the contiguous US (CONUS) and Outside the contiguous US (OCONUS) Army installations.

The installations include Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia; Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland; White Sands, New Mexico; and Yuma Proving Grounds, Arizona, as well as in operational theatres, combat zones and overseas contingency operations.
