Thales has secured a six-year contract to provide in-service support for the Dutch Army’s Bushmaster infantry mobility vehicle fleet.

Thales will act as the original equipment manufacturer and transfer technology to the Van Halteren Metaal (VHM) headquarters in the Netherlands, while VHM will provide maintenance services to increase availability of the Bushmaster fleet.

The vehicle has been in service with the Dutch Army for more than a decade.

Australia-based Watpac has been selected to construct the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) at Redbank, Ipswich, Queensland, for Rheinmetall Defence Australia with an investment of $170m.

“US-based National Industries for the Blind has secured a $14.74m contract modification to supply physical fitness uniform jackets to the US Army.”

The MILVEHCOE facility will support development and sustainment of the initial 211 Boxer combat reconnaissance vehicles under the Australian Army’s Land 400 Phase II programme.

Construction is set to start in 2018 and is expected to be completed in 2020.

XOtech LLC has secured a contract to provide logistics readiness support services to the 63rd Army Reserve Readiness Division of the US Army until September 2023.

The contract has been awarded by the US Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command.

US-based National Industries for the Blind (NIB) has secured a $14.74m contract modification to supply physical fitness uniform jackets to the US Army.

Awarded by the US Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, the contract has a one-year base period with two one-year extension options.

Contractual work will be performed at NIB’s facility in Alexandria, Virginia, and Maryland, US.

CACI International has received a prime contract to continue to support Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) Program Office and US Department of Defense agencies.

The company will provide on-site financial management leadership, as well as Oracle Enterprise Business System solution design, development, enhancement, and maintenance support to the DAI Acquire to Retire process area.

The company will also provide full lifecycle support for the DAI’s audit-ready enterprise financial solution.
