Renk Group has received an order worth €30m ($33.7m) from Patria to supply HSWL 076 transmissions for the TRACKX tracked vehicle family. Deliveries under this order are scheduled to start in 2027.
The order follows a pre-production transmission batch commissioned by Patria earlier this year. Renk said the latest contract is substantially larger, though it did not disclose the number of units covered.

Finland and Sweden began their first procurement of TRACKX vehicles at the end of September, according to Renk. Vehicle deliveries are also scheduled to begin in 2027.
Renk Group vehicle mobility solutions CEO Michael Masur said: “The announced vehicle procurements by Finland and Sweden are a key step towards series production for TRACKX. We have been involved with this vehicle family through the development, testing and pre-production stages, and will now be continuing this cooperation with Patria.
“At the same time we are working with Patria to further develop the technological potential of the platform – with a particular view to manned and unmanned vehicle concepts.”
The HSWL 076 transmission was developed for light tracked vehicles weighing between 10 and 20 tonnes.
Renk said the unit weighs about 700kg and combines propulsion, steering and braking functions within a digitally controlled drivetrain.
The transmission architecture can support remote control, platooning and potential future autonomous functions.
Renk Group and Patria are also collaborating on expanding the capabilities of ground vehicles, including both crewed and uncrewed applications utilising the HSWL 076 transmission.
At Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, the companies presented a concept for a next-generation heavy uncrewed ground vehicle, which integrates Patria’s modular TRACKX platform with RENK’s HSWL 076 transmission and drive-by-wire mobility system.
This architecture is designed to support manned, optionally uncrewed, and tracked vehicle programmes intended for uncrewed operations.
