The UK Army has awarded a contract to defence electronics company SELEX Galileo to install more than 110 Driver Night Vision Systems (DNVS) on the army’s Warthog fleet of vehicles.
Under the contract, the company will equip the new variants of the all terrain vehicles with a state-of-the-art indirect vision capability to provide the vehicles with 24-hour visibility.

SELEX Galileo Land Systems Business development manager Cliff Allum said that the system is easy to install and operate and retains the significant expansion capability enabling simple integration with Remote Weapon Stations, Mast Mounted Surveillance Cameras, and remote video feeds from manned and unmanned air and ground vehicles.
The DNVS also incorporates thermal and daylight cameras into the SELEX Galileo video distribution and control system, which is a highly flexible platform that can be reconfigured for different missions through the use of SELEX Galileo’s “plug and play” camera interface which is already in service on other military vehicles.
