The Hungarian Army has awarded a contract to German automotive and defence company Rheinmetall Defence for the provision of tactical command and control systems.
Under the five-year contract, the company will supply its Iniochos, a family of tactical command and control systems designed for various military troops and platforms.

The Iniochos application software can be used at tactical operations centres, on military vehicles and at the individual soldier level. The system can provide coalition troops from several nations with a common relevant operational picture.
The entire Hungarian Army battalion will be equipped with the Iniochos as well as specially adapted radio equipment to create a communications network and supply a tool to produce cartographic data.
The systems will be supplied to two military bases for training purposes while instructions will be provided to administrators, trainers and troops.
The contract also allows the Hungarian Army to purchase additional equipment and services until every military unit in the army is equipped with the new technology.
