The contract is a follow-on to a $24m contract for 63 HIMARS vehicles and appliqué kits awarded in June 2010.

The vehicles will be equipped with BAE’s increased crew protection (ICP) cab to provide increased protection for crews from ballistic attacks, mine blasts, foreign object debris and toxic fumes associated with rocket launches.

Work will be carried out at the company’s facility in Sealy, Texas and will be delivered to the army by December 2011.
