The Indian Army and Navy have already inducted the block II version of the missile, while the airforce will induct the mobile land attack version, according to Brahmand.

The block II version is capable of hitting a small target in a cluster of larger targets and can fly at 208 times the speed of sound whilst carrying conventional warheads up to 300kg for a range of 290km.

The Brahmos missile, built by an Indian-Russian joint venture, is a two-stage vehicle that has a solid propellant booster and a liquid propellant ramjet system that can be launched from multiple platforms based on land, ship, submarines and air.
