Renault Trucks Defense has been awarded two contracts to supply Sherpa light scout vehicles for the Indonesian Armed Forces.

The company had signed the contracts with PT Pindad, a state Indonesian supplier of equipment, to provide 12 units of the vehicles and VAB 320 powerpacks, to be fitted on the Panser.

The vehicles have been chosen as recce vehicles to accompany the armoured Panser 6×6, and will be equipped with engine, transmission, cooling system and drop box kits.

The Sherpa light belongs to a family of 4×4 tactical and light armoured vehicles, and is designed for use in tactical missions such as scouting, patrol, convoy escort and command and liaison.
