The US Army’s Fort Sill Special Reaction Team has received new M110 semi-automatic sniper systems to engage in closer and faster-paced environments.
The M110 is also the first US Army weapon system that integrates a quickly attachable and detachable suppressor to reduce the weapon’s firing signature.
The new equipment allows the sniper to see up to 1,000yd away and better suits the needs of the modern urban combat zone as well as the traditional sniper role.
The semi-automatic sniper system is intended to replace the existing M24 Sniper Weapon System with snipers US Army-wide.
