The SearchStick enables warfighters to convert any Recon Scout Throwbot into a pole camera to determine the layout over enemy compound walls, onto rooftops and into culverts, as well as aiding the identification of potential IEDs.

The micro-robots maximise situational awareness and standoff distance during route and compound-clearing operations.

Deliveries under the $4.8m contract are expected to be completed by 31 October 2011.

More than 2,000 Scout systems have been deployed by the US military and international friendly forces worldwide.
