CACI primarily provides experienced and well-vetted personnel, mission expertise and innovative approaches to JIEDDO, which optimises the safety of US forces by providing direct field operations of counter-improvised explosives devices (C-IED) activities.

Commenting on the contract, CACI chief operating officer and US operations president, John Mengucci, said the JET contract enables the company to continue its highest priority mission of supporting US combat units worldwide.

”CACI offers deep functional expertise and a rigorous selection process that provides the highly skilled professionals necessary to deliver this exceptional level of advisory service,” Mengucci said.

CACI president and chief executive officer Ken Asbury said the company will continue delivery of specialised solutions and services that assist the US government in safeguarding military personnel on their critical global missions.

”Our focus on high-growth market areas like integrated security solutions has been essential to sustaining our business with the JIEDDO,” Asbury said.

The JET supports JIEDDO across three lines of operations, which include attacking the network, defeating the device, as well as training the force.

Specifically, the JET advisors help and mentor units conducting offensive operations to proactively detect, disrupt and destroy IED networks, and also integrate and employ materiel and non-materiel solutions to detect and neutralise IEDs or alliterate their effects.

Established in February 2006, the JIEDDO is a jointly operated organisation of the DoD, working to reduce or eliminate the effects of all forms of IEDs used against the US and coalition forces on the battlefield.
