BAE Systems has received a $542m contract to supply 145 M777 ultra-lightweight howitzers to the Indian Army.

The contract has been awarded by the US Department of Defense under a foreign military sales agreement executed by the US and Indian governments in May 2015.

Oshkosh Defense has secured a contract worth $200m to supply a family of 200 medium tactical vehicles (FMTV) for the Israel Defense Force (IDF).

The deal also includes additional FMTV orders for the IDF’s Technology and Logistics branch.

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems has agreed to demilitarise 14,682 multiple-launch rocket systems belonging to the US Army, under a $15.93m contract modification.

Awarded by the US Army Contracting Command, the modification also covers the demilitarisation and disposal of rockets, rocket pod containers, and components.

Spanish firm NTGS (New Technologies Global Systems) has secured an export order for its Alakran light 120mm mortar carrier system fitted on a light 4×4 tactical vehicle.

The mortar carrier system is capable of firing 81 or 120mm rounds.

Harris Corporation has agreed to develop a new narrowband mode of the soldier radio waveform (SRW), under a three-year contract with National Spectrum Consortium.

The SRW to be developed under the contract is intended for use by the US Department of Defense to transmit higher bandwidth information.
