The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) has placed an order with Saab for its Combat Training Centre, valued at Skr680m ($71.67m).

This contract encompasses a full array of training systems for soldiers and vehicles, specialised equipment for anti-tank and sniper training, communication systems, and the exercise control software (EXCON) for post-exercise evaluations.

The Combat Training Centre, which lies at the core of Saab’s live training solutions, leverages the EXCON monitors to track all actions during training exercises.

Offered in both mobile container form for deployment in the field and as a fixed solution, the Combat Training Centre can accommodate up to 10,000 participants and cover an area of up to 40km, according to the company.

Saab business unit training and simulation head Joakim Alhbin said: “With this delivery, Denmark will have one of the most modern and flexible Combat Training Centres in Europe tailored for the demands of today and tomorrow. We are excited to be part of building that future.”

Saab is also tasked with delivering support services at four sites across Denmark as part of the agreement.
