Rocket One has launched Swarm Stage AI, a new platform designed to help US military and defence organisations test and train against swarming drone threats.
In an 18 August release, the company positioned the system as an adversarial drone-swarm threat-emulation tool for counter-uncrewed aircraft system (C-UAS) training, testing, and evaluation.

Swarm Stage AI is based on Rocket One’s commercial swarm-coordination technology, which the company said has experience managing thousands of synchronised aircraft in flight.
The technology has been adapted to produce realistic and repeatable drone-swarm scenarios, aimed at preparing personnel and systems to counter the increasing prevalence of coordinated unmanned aerial threats.
According to Rocket One, Swarm Stage AI brings together several features, including large-scale swarm coordination, an AI-powered ‘Threat Builder’ for simulating multi-drone behaviours, and a 3D mission preview tool for visualising scenarios prior to execution.
The platform also allows for the creation of customised threat scenarios to meet specific training or evaluation requirements and has been developed and operated in the United States.
Swarm Stage AI, designed purely as a training and evaluation platform, will be available to the US military, defence agencies, contractors, and authorised test facilities for demonstrations, briefings, and evaluations.
Rocket One chief executive officer Robb Knie said: “Mass drone attacks are rapidly changing the modern battlefield and creating an entirely new challenge for military defence systems.
“A system designed to detect or defeat a single drone must increasingly be prepared to confront coordinated groups of drones arriving simultaneously. Swarm Stage AI is designed to help create the realistic training and testing environment required to address that challenge.”
Rocket One stated that the availability of Swarm Stage AI is not indicative of a contract, procurement commitment, endorsement, certification, or selection by the US Department of War, any branch of the US Armed Forces, or any other government agency.
