Leidos is coordinating a US-wide supplier network to expand production of its Low-Cost Containerised Missile (LCCM) and AGM-190A Havoc Spear cruise missile programmes.
The company brought together missile-component suppliers at its headquarters on 26 September to discuss requirements, manufacturing capacity, production timelines and delivery schedules. Suppliers involved in the work are based across 14 US states.

This effort follows a 13 May framework agreement between Leidos and the US Department of War covering an initial 3,000 LCCM weapons.
The first missiles are expected to be delivered in 2027 for testing and evaluation, with full-rate production planned for 2028 and 2029.
Leidos said production activity for the LCCM and AGM-190A will be concentrated primarily in Huntsville, Alabama, and McEwen, Tennessee, while work will also be distributed across its supplier network.
Initial deliveries of the AGM-190A Havoc Spear have begun for Air Force Special Operations Command.
Leidos also received a contract from US Special Operations Command in summer 2026 for 45 missiles, with deliveries under that award expected to begin in autumn 2027.
The company said the supplier summit was intended to align industrial partners as it expands production capacity for both programmes.
Leidos defence president Cindy Gruensfelder said: “The nationwide Leidos cruise missile supply chain team is putting in place the robust plans and resources that’ll allow us quickly scale cruise missile production.
“We’re investing in our people, facilities, and supply chain to deliver proven capability to warfighters with a real sense of urgency.”
Leidos, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, has previously developed and integrated missile systems, launchers, and precision strike technologies for the US military.
The company’s portfolio includes work on the Army’s Indirect Fire Protection Capability Increment 2 (IFPC Inc 2) launcher, hypersonic technologies, and advanced guidance and sensor systems for air and missile defence.
