Kratos wins scope increases for military training platform programmes

US-based engineering services company Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has been awarded a contract for scope increases on multiple military training platform programmes.

Due to customer-related and competitive considerations, the exact details of the contract worth more than $30m have not been provided.

Kratos Training Solutions senior vice-president Jose Diaz said: “Kratos continues to deliver customer-tailored solutions in cutting-edge training system environments by advancing simulators with innovative technologies and expanding simulation fidelity with virtual, augmented and mixed reality technologies.

“These awards will enable world-class training that sharpens warfighter resiliency, increases real mission preparedness, improves mission safety and reduces training costs.”

“Recently, the company received a $2.7m contract award for the delivery of specialised hardware in support of a C5ISR system.”

The company uses new advanced technologies to develop synthetic training environments (STE) for increased maintenance and operational training solutions that reduce costs, improve development and deliver high performance.

The security solutions provider offers military training solutions that include a wide range of products and services for air, ground and naval platforms.

Kratos focuses on developing and fielding transformative, affordable technology, platforms and systems for US National Security customers, allies, and commercial enterprises.

Recently, the company received a $2.7m contract award for the delivery of specialised hardware in support of a command, control, communications, computing, combat, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C5ISR) system.

The firm stated that work under the award will be carried out at its secure manufacturing and production facilities.
