South Korea’s Hanwha Systems has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Northrop Grumman to partner on Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) system technologies.
The companies will discuss on core technologies for integrated air defence command and control, while also seeking new business avenues in South Korea.

Through this collaboration, Hanwha Systems and Northrop Grumman seek to leverage their individual expertise in radar and battle management technologies to develop more advanced and resilient air defense solutions.

Our partnership reflects our ambition to lead the development of next-generation weapon systems and strengthen our position in the global market.”
Northrop Grumman develops integrated battle command system (IBCS), a command and control system that integrates sensors and interceptors across multiple domains.
The IBCS is currently deployed by the US Army and is under consideration for deployment in Europe and other regions.

These comprise the Korea Air and Missile Defense Operations Center, the Master Control and Reporting Center, and the Air Defense Command Control and Alert systems.
Additionally, Hanwha Systems is involved in the development of multi-function radars for various defense systems.
