General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has been awarded a $510m task order by the US Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) to deliver worldwide logistics, sustainment, and maintenance services.
The five-year agreement, which includes one base year and four optional years, was awarded in July and is part of CECOM’s ongoing efforts to support both US and coalition forces.

CECOM is responsible for sustaining the Army’s command, control, communications, IT, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and medical systems, collectively known as C5ISR-M.
Under the new task order, GDIT will provide hardware and software support, field maintenance, and deploy personnel across 190 global locations, including Army bases and installations.
The services are intended to ensure the operational readiness of systems such as radios, command and control, and environmental control units, according to the company.
GDIT, a unit of General Dynamics, will focus on maintaining the functionality of current and future C5ISR-M assets.
The company stated that its team will operate in forward locations, providing support essential for soldiers to use these complex systems in active environments.

The contract adds to GDIT’s portfolio of Army support initiatives, which include enterprise network support for the Army National Guard, enterprise IT services for Army Europe, and integrated base defence sustainment.
Last month, GDIT secured a $1.3bn contract for enterprise IT and cybersecurity services supporting the Army National Guard and other federal partners.
