Axon Vision has announced the integration of its EDGE ClearSky AI-powered computer vision system with radar technology from Retia and the TSG command and control (C2) system in the Czech Republic.
This integration demonstrated a multi-sensor capability for detecting and tracking drone threats, the company stated in a release on 6 July.

During the trials held in open-field conditions in the Czech Republic, the EDGE ClearSky system was connected to Retia’s radar-based detection capabilities and the TSG C2 system.
This setup allowed for the creation of a unified target display for the system operator, with different sensors exchanging data and providing a coordinated response to simulated drone activities.
According to Axon Vision, the testing involved a range of scenarios, such as detection, tracking, and the dynamic movement of uncrewed aerial vehicles.
This integration comes after the company completed operational demonstration of the EDGE ClearSky drone detection system in April this year.
The EDGE ClearSky is part of Axon Vision’s EDGE AI product range and is designed to support rapid identification of aerial threats. The system works by using thermal sensors and artificial intelligence algorithms to conduct real-time detection and classification of targets.
Information from the sensors is processed, and the system is able to communicate directly with onboard weapon systems to support interception.
EDGE ClearSky is developed for integration with armoured platforms.
The company stated that the latest testing confirmed the ability of the integrated solution to exchange data in real time and reliably present a coordinated picture of drone threats on the C2 display.
This approach is intended to provide defence and security forces with improved situational awareness and more efficient counter-drone responses.
Axon Vision CEO Neri Zin said: “Drone threats continue to create new operational challenges for defence and security forces worldwide, requiring faster detection, improved situational awareness, and the ability to integrate multiple sensing capabilities into a single operational picture.
“The successful integration in the Czech Republic demonstrates the flexibility of our EDGE ClearSky system and its ability to work seamlessly with radar and command-and-control systems.”
