November 2022 has seen a decrease of 10.5% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 9.37% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering an increase of 1.23% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 62.96% in November 2022, an 88.89% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 18.52% in November 2022, marking a 25% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 11.11% in November 2022, a flat growth from October 2022.
Computer and Information Research Scientists registered a share of 3.7% in November 2022, a 75% decline over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 42.11% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s aerospace, defence & security industry during November 2022 over previous month.
V2X posted 9 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a decline of 10% over the previous month, followed by Elbit Systems with 9 jobs and a 125% growth. Thales with 6 IT jobs and Saab with 2 jobs, recorded a 50% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Leidos Holdings recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during November 2022.

Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 33.33% share in November 2022, a 125% increase over October 2022. Qatar featured next with a 14.81% share, up 300% over the previous month. United Arab Emirates recorded a 14.81% share, a flat growth compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.07%, up by 42.86% from October 2022. Entry Level positions with a 14.81% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
