March 2022 has seen a decrease of 6.3% in the overall hiring activity when compared with February 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 9.98% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in March 2022, registering an increase of 0.11% over the last three-month average share.

Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 37.5% in March 2022, a 21.05% drop over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 27.5% in March 2022, marking a 22.22% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 12.5% in March 2022, a 66.67% rise from February 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 17.86% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s aerospace, defence & security industry during March 2022 over previous month.
Vectrus posted 14 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a decline of 6.67% over the previous month, followed by Elbit Systems with 12 jobs and a 100% growth. Leidos Holdings with 3 IT jobs and Raytheon Technologies with 2 jobs, recorded a 50% drop and a 100% rise, respectively, while Precision Solutions recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during March 2022.

Kuwait commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 35% share in March 2022, a 6.67% decrease over February 2022. Israel featured next with a 30% share, up 71.43% over the previous month. Qatar recorded a 7.5% share, a growth of 50% compared with February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.5%, flat growth from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25% share, registered a decline of 16.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.5% share, flat growth over February 2022.
